Brief History: Rylie is the youngest child of a hair stylist and businessman. She has two older brothers and an older sister, all of whom have no magic ability. Rylie's family moved around constantly, but finally settled down in Scotland when Rylie turned 10. Rylie's family is somewhat wealthy, with a huge library where Rylie spent most of her time growing up. While her brothers played sports and her sister studied fashion design, Rylie was reading fantasy books and mystery novels and helping her father trace their lineage. Although she was convinced her great great great great aunt was a witch, it was never proven, and her father said he had never heard of a Scottish Witch in his lifetime! Rylie first showed signs of magical ability at the age of 7. When she was on a ladder reaching for a book on a top shelf in the library, she lost her balance and began to fall. Instead of getting injured, she simply floated to the floor. She let out a piercing scream, but her mother told her she must have an overactive imagination. When she received her Hogwarts letter, she pinched herself several times, thinking it was another one of her daydreams. Her parents were extremely accepting, but it took her sister a year or so to finally decide that Rylie wasn't cursed, but gifted instead. Her father still jokes about that great great great great aunt.


Plot Thus Far: Rylie has not had as interesting a term as most students, at least not in as dramatic a fashion. She has not been attacked by Death Eaters, nor has she joined any clubs, but Rylie has observed the strangest of events with amusement and curiosity. At the beginning of term, Rylie entered a relationship with a bloke from her house, Sebastian Rivera. Their dating history was as odd as the beginning would have suggested (having kissed in front of several bug-eyed house elves), and Sebby's overall social awkwardness led the two to part ways quickly. Her first set of novels was based on a concept helped formed by her friend Sean Brightwell. Though their Brightwell-Logan circuit was strong, Sean was pulled from school not long after. Rylie developed some feelings for the Slytherin Preston Victore, who challenged and fascinated her, but his hatred of muggleborns made any attempts at a relationship impossible, and undesired. She strained her relationship with Troy Frogley by speaking to his 'enemy' of sorts, Ben Connelly (ben_connelly), but is working to regain his trust. Rylie continues to write in her journals and enjoy her friendships with Tessa Landers (tessa_landers), Noah Ogilvy (noah_ogilvy), Troy Frogley (frogleygoof), Charlie Kerrigan (le_charlie), and Caine Owen (caine_owen). She was recently named Head Girl with Andra Owen's departure, and expects to make the most of the rest of her last term at Hogwarts.


Personality: Rylie is very shy when meeting new people, but is always polite. She is not the type to be extremely energetic and hyper. Instead she keeps a calm air about her, even when cracking jokes. She is extremely curious, and is known to people watch. She's fascinated by human behavior, and when she gets going, she can talk for ages. She's constantly asking questions, to herself and to others, and thoroughly enjoys being in class. Although she likes to keep things to herself, she'll be open with her closest friends. She's not known to pay attention much to enemies or fighting, but loves a good debate. Although she doesn't care much for making an impression, she does put effort into her looks due to influence from her mother and sister.
